Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary
Bentley's bespoke coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed an exclusive key case to celebrate the brand's centenary. It is constructed of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes the flying "B" paperweight keys, as well as an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.
It's the perfect present to welcome a new owner to their luxurious vehicle.
Aesthetics
As a company that is primarily focused on design, Bentley takes its aesthetics seriously. It is evident in the precise positioning of its quilting, the choice of leather sourced from the by-products of cattle, timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the ingenious patterns that are etched on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you take it in, displaying its sculptural beauty and power by carefully curated lighting.
The Continental GT is the most sophisticated open-top Bentley ever built. bentley smart key , for example, showcased the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to the production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.
Bentley is the most sought-after automobile brand globally due to its distinctive design and quality. The company continues to push boundaries with the latest technology and craftsmanship. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear window sunroof as well as a hand-crafted Apple iPad docking station.
A century since its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of fighting with BMW it celebrated its centenary in 2019. The company planned a range of special events and launches to celebrate the milestone event before planning for a pandemic became a top priority.

Design
Bentley is a premium car manufacturer that produces extravagant and luxurious vehicles. But even keys stand out. bentley smart key is made from sterling silver and features a large 'B' logo that tells everyone you drive a Bentley. The key is also decorated with the years 1919 and 2019, to mark the company’s centenary.
The Mulsanne was redesigned and improved by Bentley Mulliner to become the ultimate Grand Touring car. It features two opposing pairs of rear seats that are inspired by luxury private aviation, providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and security. The bespoke heating and ventilation as well as air conditioning system was created to give every passenger the ideal temperature control.
Alongside a range of refined styling updates The Mulsanne is powered by twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine that produces 560bhp and 479lbft of torque. This incredibly powerful power is paired by a brand new suspension system that provides Bentley's trademark quiet ride.
In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a specific specification that is called the Centenary Specification for cars manufactured in 2019. This includes contrast stitching and cross-stitching in Centenary Gold thread throughout the cabin. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests seats, the interior and other areas of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion. The Centenary Specification also includes a custom Bentley keycase to complete the Bentley experience.
Function
The Bentley Mulsanne Key has two buttons one of which opens the trunk, and the second that starts the vehicle. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. The knob can be used to fold or unfold the mirrors if you are parking in a tight spot. Using bentley smart key can assist you in getting into and out of your vehicle more easily.
Each key takes two days to make. It is cut by hand and shaped, then sewn, sealed and polished to provide a high-quality finish. It is lightweight and durable and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its style is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key, but it feels much heavier and has a more premium feel.
It also comes with Secure-A-Key, which helps prevent theft of keys without keypads. The device is placed inside the remote-control key fob, and disables it after a few minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can unlock and start the vehicle.
Bentley's distinctive style reflects the company's values of fine craftsmanship engineering expertise, as well as cutting-edge technology. The headquarters in Crewe house more than 4000 employees responsible for the development, design, and production of Bentley vehicles. They apply their expertise that have been handed down through generations to cutting-edge automotive technology. This is British manufacturing at its finest.
Personalisation
Bentley's bespoke division, Mulliner, allows customers to design their own vehicle. The "mood station" allows customers to choose images that inspire them. These could range from scenic vistas and sporting events. After each selection is made, a pattern emerges which shows the models and colors of the customized Bentley.
The resulting configuration is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys which are presented to the guests in a custom key case. Keys can also be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that illuminate the door's opening path with the owner's name or logo when they arrive at the vehicle.
Bentley estimates it takes approximately 500 man-hours to craft and put together the typical Mulsanne. One of the main reasons for that lengthy effort is a reluctance to embrace the latest technology. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly-matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers have to park their cars manually, rather than using the built-in sensors to guide them into perpendicular and paralell spots.
The event also saw Bentley presented its Mulliner personalization capabilities using a special example - the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars include the key, which displays a piece of the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
